Like an energetic lotus, the Vietnamese Buddhist Family Organization has sprung its buds and shoots out of Imperial Land and gradually spread out over every bit of fatherland, and recently onto foreign soils.

As missionary of the Family, a senior has a life commitment to serve the Dharma as well as the Organization.

As a commissioned, the senior will receive order from him/herself: it should be command from his/her heart, his/her mind that has unearthed the direction for his/her life: the ideal of the Family. It would be also the sworn dedication when taking refuge, pinning Lotus emblem, being ready for receiving organization grade.

As a commissioned, a senior receives traditional instructions from the Family: There it is Bylaws, transferred and added up Regulations. That should be transferred instructions from its founders, from elder men and women, and utmost of all from Buddha’s Teachings.

As a commissioned, a senior would receive two parallel assignments: practice and training and at the same time engagement to bring Teachings into real life. These two assignments have double fold trustful forces of cause/effect and inflection of causes, and they must be self liberation and liberation for others or altruist liberation of a senior.

As a commissioned, a senior must always meditate on “Selflessness- Altruism”, harmoniously integrate into collective, give out mutual love and mutual support, encourage each other to attain clairvoyance and at the same time be role model to posterior generation.

As a commissioned, a senior always has to regulate Body, Tongue, Mind everywhere, every time, in every condition… in gesture, action, language, attitude – of an true Buddhist member.

As a commissioned, a senior won’t ever give up practice and study and observe True Dharma –Buddhist Teachings should be the most important gear for a senior to implement his/her most holiest mission of integral engagement. Buddha’s Teachings shouldn’t be merely pure reasoning, and not ornamental beliefs to conscious knowledge. Indeed, Buddhism is a religion in action.

As a commissioned, a senior must keep commitment: to bring Beliefs to the young, to everyone, every country, every nation… by his/her heart, real and necessary action, by exemplar of tolerance and integration, patience, perseverance, “fewer words more action”; by extracting and exposing hidden strengths and forces of Compassion-Wisdom-Courage of the engaged Buddhism.

In the short span of man’s life, we are committed to advance in true knowledge, build up peace and happiness for ourselves, our young, our family, our Organization, our Dharma or Teachings, our nation and our social mass in general…
