|ṁamaḥ sakalakaluṣāpahāriṇe śrīvajrasattvāya ||
vajrayānaṁ namaskṛtya mahāsukhasukhākaram |
tattvasiddhiṁ pravakṣyāmi sammohavinivṛttaye ||1||
etasmin vajramahāyāne ye kecid anupacita-kuśala-vāsanāsantānāḥ,samāropita bhāvabhāvanāḥ,svavikalpānilapreyamāṇa-matayaḥ,sakala-kalikālakalaṅkapaṅkapaṭala-malīmasa-mānasāḥ,asamadhigata-saṁsārasāgarataraṇopāyāḥ,svavikalpānalpasaṅkalpitadhiyaḥ,viṣamagranthisthānadainyapatitāḥ,durbodhagrahāveśavaśākulitacetaso'nupāsitācāryāḥ,paramārthabhāvanopadeśarahitāḥ,śrīmanmahāsukhavajrasattvatvam,analpakalpāsaṁkhyenāpi mārgāntareṇādhigamyaṁ vajrayānopāyayuktānām ihaiva janmani anāyāsasādhyasthira-sarvabhāva [svabhāvam],anādinidha[na]m,anālayam,akhilasattvasantānaṁ,svasaṁvedyasvabhāvam,mahāpuṇyahetum,adhigamalakṣaṇaṁ,tadupāyabhū(taṁ)ca mahāvajrayānaṁ samastayānottamamāgamaṁ lakṣaṇaṁ na pratipadyante,teṣām ajñānatimirapaṭalavinivṛttaye yuktyāgamābhyām abhidhīyate kiñcit ||
tatra prajñopāyaparigṛhītā rūpādayo viṣayāḥ paribhogabhāvamāpadyamānāḥ viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakā bhavantītyavaśyameva prekṣāvadbhirabhyupagantavyam | viśiṣṭā hi sāmagrī viśiṣṭameva phalaṁ janayatīti sarvavādiprasiddham | yathāpṛthivyādibhyaḥ samutpannamāmalakaphalaṁ kaṣāyarasamanubhūyate,punaḥ kṣīrāvasekādimadhikaṁ kāraṇamāsādya tadeva madhuratayā pratīyate | tadevaṁ - yathā kāraṇāntarābhisaṁskṛtaṁ kāraṇaṁ viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakatvena pratyakṣeṇaiva dṛśyate,evamete rūpādayo viṣayā mahāmudrāniṣpattau mantramudrādhiṣṭhitānāṁ yogināṁ viśiṣṭataraṁ phalamutpādayantīti sadbhiravadheyam | yato na vai kiñcidekaṁ janakamapitu sāmagrī janikā,tena viśiṣṭāt kāraṇā[ntarā]d hi viśiṣṭameva kāryamutpadyate,acintyatvād hetupratyayasāmarthyasya sarvavidām | [prayogaḥ]- tatra ya ime viśiṣṭakāraṇābhi saṁskṛtāste viśiṣṭameva kāryamārabhante,yathā kṣīrāvasekenā malakādayo madhuraphalā bhavanti,(tathā)viśiṣṭakāraṇābhisaṁskṛtā rūpādayo'pi,iti svabhāvahetuḥ | tadatra viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhisaṁskāramātrānubandhasvabhāvaḥ kāryābhimato bhāvo vyāpaka svabhāvaḥ,kāraṇāntarābhisaṁskārastu vyāpyameva | tena yad yad viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhisaṁskṛtasvabhāvam,tad tad asati pratibandhake akāraṇavaikalye viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhi saṁskārād viśiṣṭameva kārya bhavati iti,tanmātrānubandhitvāt |
tasya tasmāt siddhe vyāpyavyāpakabhāve vyāpake sādhye vyāpyaṁ hetuḥ | tadyathā-vyāpake vṛkṣādike sādhye vyāpyaṁ śiśapādiḥ hetuḥ | siddhatvād vyāpyavyāpaka-bhāvasya na kalpe datra kāraṇaṁ vyāpya-vyāpaka-bhāvāt param | evamihāpi jñeyam | ata evoktam -
aśeṣayogatantreṣu guhyendutilakādiṣu |
nāsti kiñcidakarttavyaṁ prajñopāyena cetasā ||2||
nirviśaṅkaḥ sadā bhūtvā bhoktavyaṁ pañcakāmakam |
oṣadhīcūrṇasaṁyogāduragasyeva bandhanam ||3||
kāmino nityaraktasya gītavādyaratasyaṁ ca |
kāmasaukhyairatṛptasya sidhyate nātra saṁśayaḥ ||4||
bodhicittaṁ dṛḍhaṁ yasya niḥsaṅgā ca matirbhavet |
vicikitsā naiva karttavyā tasyedaṁ sidhyate dhruvam ||5||
sunirūpya susañcintya praveśaṁ kārayed budhaḥ |
anyathāgnipraveśo'sya kalāṁ nārhati ṣoḍaśīm ||6||
tattvaṁ vijñāya tattvena yo'dhimuktiṁ niṣevate |
sa sidhyatyanyathā tasya mahānirayapātanam ||7||
na caitacchakyate vaktuṁ yathaite rūpādayo viṣayāḥ kleśaprasūti-hetutvādapāyahetava iti | kleśānām ātmātmīyagrahābhiniveśapūrvakattvāt na rūpādayo nimittam,yena
ātmani sati parasaṁjñā svaparavibhāgāt parigrahadveṣau |
anayoḥ sampratibaddhāḥ sarve doṣāḥ prajāyante ||8||
tasmād yasyātmadarśanaṁ tasyaite kleśāḥ sambhavantīti | yastu nairātmyasātmīkaraṇāt samāsāditanairātmyarasaḥ,tasya naite tathā bhavanti |
yadi punaḥ viṣayāḥ sarvadā rāgahetava eva tadā kathaṁ samviparītajñānamapi janayanti aśucyādibhirākāraiḥ,abhyāsabalāt,tena yathāsamāropameva khalvete vijñānamupajanayanti | evaṁ viṣayāḥ viśiṣṭasamāropād viśiṣṭapariṇāmācca viśiṣṭaphalaniṣpattau hetubhāvaṁ pratipadyanta iti kiṁ na iṣyate?yathā -
parivrāḍ-kāmuka-śunāmekasyāṁ pramadātanau |
aśuciḥ kāminī bhakṣyā iti tisro vikalpanāḥ ||9||
na ca ete'pi viśiṣṭasamāropāḥ tathāpariṇāmācca saṁsārabandhahetukā bhavanti iti,trimaṇḍalapariśuddhatvād deya-dāyaka-parigrāhakāpratilabdheḥ | yasmād trimaṇḍalapariśuddheḥ mantra-mudrāpariṇāmaḥ tasmānmantrādibhirāhitaviśeṣā rūpādayo viṣayā anuttarameva phalaṁ kurvanti | yathā viṣādikaṁ mantrādibhiḥ saṁskṛtyopabhujyamānamanyadeva rasāyanādikaṁ phalamāvahata iti,tadanyayā bālānāṁ niyamena pañcatvaṁ karotīti | evaṁ viṣayā api mantra mudrādhiṣṭhitā viśiṣṭatarameva phalaṁ vikurvantīti sutarāmavavoddhavyam | taccoktaṁ śrīparamādye -
rāgo dveṣaśca mohaśca trayaite viṣamaṁ gatāḥ |
viṣatvamupayāntyeva viṣamatvena sevitāḥ |
amṛtatvaṁ punarye ca amṛtattvena sevitāḥ ||10||
punaścoktaṁ ratnakūṭasūtre - 'tadyathā kāśyapa | ikṣukṣetreṣu śālikṣetreṣu saṁkarakūṭa upakārībhūto bhavati,evameva yo bodhisattvasya kleśa saṁkarakūṭaḥ saḥ sarvajñatāyām upakārībhūto bhavati | tadyathā kāśyapa mantrauṣadhiparigṛhītaṁ viṣaṁ na nighātayati evameva prajñopāyasamanvitobodhisattvaḥ | kleśaviṣairna vinipātyate | punaścoktam ācāryanāgārjunapādaiḥ -
vāsanāmūlaparyantāḥ kleśāste'nagha | varjitāḥ |
kleśapravṛttito yāvattvayā'mṛtamupārjitam ||11||
punaścoktam upāliparipṛcchāsūtre - rāgo bodhisattvasya mahāsattvārthatāyāṁ saṁvartate,sattvānurāgatvād iti ||
sāmagrībhedāt kāryabheda- darśanād dharmanairātmyāvabodhācca na tatrābhiniveśaḥ kayañcidapi,sambhavati,kevalaṁ tvanuttaramahāsukhaphalāvāpteḥ nānyat sādhanamasti,tattaireva sukhairāhāravihārādibhistatphalamabhimukhīkriyate yasya puraḥ saraṁ vibhavaḥ sa sādṛśaḥ syāt | kathamanyādṛśodbhūtaḥ tādṛśaḥ syāt | ataevoktaṁ samvaratantre-
ātmā vai sarvabuddhatvaṁ sarvaśauritvameva ca |
svādhidaivatayogena tasmādātmaiva sādhayet ||12||
na yogaḥ pratibimbeṣu niṣiktādiṣu jāyate |
bodhicittamahodyogād yoginastena devatāḥ ||13||
svamātmānaṁ parityajya tapobhirna ca pīḍayet |
yathāsukhaṁ sukhaṁ dhāryaṁ sambuddho'yamanāgataḥ ||14||
nātiśaucaṁ na niyamo na tapo na ca duṣkaraiḥ |
tapaścārairna niyamaiḥ sukhairharṣaiśca sidhyati ||15||
yathā,bhagavatā rūpādayaḥ tannirjātāḥ sukhapariṇāmanāḥ anuttaraphalaheturuktāḥ tathā sparśanirjātasukhapariṇāmanā api | yadi āgamaviruddhatvānna bhavatī ti ced,āgamaḥ - sparśaviśeṣasukhasaṁsevanāt tatphalamāvahatīti | tatra virodhaḥ tasya pratiṣiddhatvāditi cet,na,pratiṣedhasyaniyataviṣayatvāt | ye hi prajñopāyarahitā ātmātmīyagrahābhiniveśena pariṇāmanānabhijñāḥ sparśaviśeṣaṁ saṁsevante,teṣāmavidyāparigṛhītamūrtīnāṁ viṣayā apāyahetavo bhavantīti | tathā coktaṁ bhagavatā -
bhikṣubhāve sthitā ye ca ye ca tarkaratā narāḥ |
vṛddhabhāve sthitā ye ca teṣāṁ tattvaṁ na deśayet ||16||
bhagavatā tān prati sandhārya pratiṣedha uktaḥ | taduktaṁ ca śrīsamāje--
daśakuśalān karmapathānicchanti jñānavarjitāḥ ||17||
tathā vairocanābhisambuddhāvapyuktam -
upāyai rahitaṁ jñānaṁ śikṣā vā'pi hi deśitā |
śrāvakānāṁ mahāvīreṇā va tārāya teṣu vai ||18||
na tu prajñopāyaparigṛhītamūrtīnāṁ viśiṣṭaphalānveṣiṇāṁ viśiṣṭa pariṇāmanāphalamanubhavatāṁ paramārthadharmatattvāvabodhāt manāmapi teṣāṁ taddoṣabhāgitā bhavati,kintu mativiśeṣeṇa samanvitāḥ santoṣasya cānuttarasya lābhino bhavanti,akaluṣatvāccittasya | tasmādāśayaviśeṣeṇa kṛta evāyaṁ puṇya puṇyetaravibhāgo,na tu yathāvastu vyavasthitarūpam | uktañca āryadevena -
saṅkalpād bodhisattvānāṁ śubhaṁ vā yadi vā'śubham |
sarva kalyāṇatāmeti teṣāṁ vaśyaṁ yato manaḥ ||19||
tena saṅkalpakṛteṣu puṇyāpuṇyeṣu yasya viśiṣṭa eva kāraṇāntara kṛtasaṅkalpaviśeṣaḥ,rūpādiṣu sa tasmādāśayaviśeṣād viśiṣṭameva phalaṁ tasya avaśyamakāmakairapi parairapyupagantavyam iti | ata evoktaṁ bhagavatā -
'māyopamā dharmāḥ,adhimuktasya sarvopabhogā yujyante iti | punaścoktam - 'ahaṅkāryaśraddhasya bhikṣoḥ śraddhādeyam aparibhogyam'
punaścoktaṁ samvaratantre -
ākāśalakṣaṇaṁ sarva ākāśaṁ cāpyalakṣaṇam |
māyopamaṁ ca vai sarva traidhātukamaśeṣataḥ ||20||
dṛśyate spṛśyate caiva yathā māyā hi sarvataḥ |
na copalabhyate caivaṁ sarvasya jagataḥ sthitiḥ |
anayā mudrayā yogī śodhayet bhuvanatrayam || 21||
punaścoktaṁ sarvadevasamāgamatantre -
yaireva mūḍhā vadhyante buddhāḥ krīḍanti tairiha |
sarve sampūrṇayogena anyathā yānti dīpavat ||22||
punaścoktaṁ -
guptalokottarāṁ caryā vicarantyavikalpataḥ |
pramādaścānyathā jāyet vikalpastatra yujyate ||23||
nirvikalpena bhāvena sarvākāreṇa sarvadā |
sattvamāsthāya niḥśaṅkaḥtadā siddhyatyasaṁśayam ||24||
sattvena nirviśaṅkena sarvāvastho'pi sarvadā |
sarvācārapravṛtto'pi na bandhamupayāsyati ||25||
niḥśeṣācārasañcāro nirvikalpena cetasā |
sarvendriyopabhogena sattvasyo hi na badhyate ||26||
punaścoktam -
śūnyarūpamidaṁ sarva śūnyākāreṇa cakṣuṣā |
paśyatāṁ nirvikalpānāṁ satāṁ niḥśaṅkatā bhavet ||27||
punaḥ tatra eva -
sarvāṇi vyomarūpāṇi vyomarūpeṇa cetasā |
bhāvanānnirvikalpatvaṁ niḥśaṅkatvaṁ prajāyate ||28||
punaścoktam - yogināṁ kīdṛśaṁ vratam?
sopāyaṁ sarvakarmāṇi nirviśaṅkaścaret tadā |
nirviśaṅkena bhāvena vratānāmuttamottamaḥ ||29||
tapaḥ kimucyate?
nirvikalpena bhāvena sarvakarmāṇi sarvadā |
ācarennirviśaṅkena tapasāmuttamaṁ tapaḥ ||30||
viṣayān sevamānasya nirvikalpena cetasā |
kutsādhitaṁ na vā cetastattapo duratikramam ||31||
yastu sarvāṇi karmāṇi prajñayā viniyojayet |
sarva śūnyapade yojyaṁ tapo hyeṣa mahātmanām ||32||
prajñāsaṅkrāntirūpeṇa nirvikalpena cetasā |
niḥśaṅkācārasañcāraḥ tapasteṣāṁ mahātmanām ||33||
prajñopāyaṁ vinā'nyatra yadi cittaṁ ca saṅkramet |
niyataṁ tatsamuddiṣṭaṁ mahābodhipradāyakam ||34||
yogināmabhiyuktānāṁ nirvikalpānugāminām |
teṣāṁ sarvāṇi bhūtāni vilāsārthaṁ ca sṛṣṭavān ||35||
prajñādarpaṇasaṅkrāntaṁ tadākāraṁ ca saṁskṛtam |
prajñājātā smṛti steṣāṁ nirvikalpātmacetasām ||36||
darpaṇaprativimbaṁ ca svapnaṁ māyāṁ ca budbudam |
indrajālaṁ ca sadṛśaṁ yaḥ paśyet sa prabhuḥ smṛtaḥ ||37||
taḍidgandharvanagaraṁ vipākañcaiva saṁskṛtam |
tadākāraṁ prapaśyanti tasyāyattāḥ prajāḥ smṛtāḥ ||38||
ityuktam |
tena na kasyacit sthitirasti yatrābhiniveśaḥ syāt | 'yadā caivaṁbhūtairapi māyopamaiḥ bhāvairviśiṣṭasaṁbhogasañjātasukhasparśa -pariṇāmata na yā kiñcid viśiṣṭaphalaṁ prāpyate,tadā kiṁ neṣyate?"na hi ete sthirāḥ svabhāvataḥ,kintvavabhāsamātralakṣaṇāḥ | yadi ete viśiṣṭabhāvanābhyāsabalād viśiṣṭasukhasaumanasyādikakāryeṣu āryānuttaraphalāvāptihetubhāvaṁ pratipadyante,tadā na kaściddoṣaḥ | tathācoktaṁ śrīparamādye -
ātmā vai sarvabuddhatvaṁ sarvaśauritvameva ca |
svādhidaivatayogena tasmādātmaiva sādhayet ||39||
duṣkarairniyamaistīvraiḥ mūrtiḥ śuṣyati duḥkhitā |
duḥkhād vikṣipyate cittaṁ vikṣepāt siddhiranyathā ||40||
manomūrtidṛḍhatvācca sarvasaukhyaṁ dṛḍhībhavet |
duḥkhaiścalatvamāyāti nirodhaṁ vāpi gacchati ||41||
punaścoktaṁ laukikalokottaravajratantre -
sukhena labhyate siddhirna siddhiḥ kāyatāpanaiḥ |
yasmāt samādhisambhūtaṁ buddhatvaṁ sarvasaukhyataḥ ||42||
anāhārādibhistīvraisstathānyaiśca tṛṣādibhiḥ |
kāyatāpāddhi vikṣepo vikṣepāt siddhiranyathā |
hīnasattvā na sidhyanti duṣkarāstena kīrtitāḥ ||43||
punaścoktaṁ śrīsamājatantre -
duṣkarairniyamaiḥ kaṣṭaiḥ sevamāno na sidhyati |
sarvakāmopabhogaistu sevayaṁścāśusidhyati ||44||
bhikṣāśinā na japtavyaṁ na ca bhaikṣyaratirbhavet |
japenmantramabhinnāṅgaṁ sarvakāmopabhogakṛt ||45||
kāya-vāk-citta-sausthityaṁ prāpya bodhiṁ samaśnute |
anyathā'kālamaraṇaṁ pacyate narake dhruvam ||46||
tena prakṛtiprabhāsvara-sphaṭikopalasadṛśe manasi rūpādibhirā hitasaṁskāraviśeṣa-sukhasaumanasyalakṣaṇaḥ saḥ tatra prajñopāyaparigṛhītasyābhyāsaviśeṣabalāt prakarṣaparyantarūpatāmāsādayediti | tadyathā-prajñādi śilpakalādayaḥ | śabdādi viṣayānubhavasañjātasaṁskāraviśeṣa to yogijñānam asakṛdbhāvanābhyāsasāmarthyāt samāhita paramaśāśvatasvabhāvaṁ bhāvanāprakarṣaparyanta māyāt | svasiddhānte sugatādīnāmiva,loke ca kāmaśokabhayonmādādivat | sparśādi janitasukhasaumanasyādayaśca bhāvyante,tasmātte'pi paramaviśeṣaśālina iti svabhāvaviruddhopalabdhiḥ | ihāpi duḥkhādiviruddhaṁ sukhasaumanasyādilakṣaṇaṁ kāryam,taccābhyāsabalāt sātmībhāvamāsādyamānamupalabhyate yadā,tadā tadviruddhaṁ duḥkhadaurmanasyādikaṁ nivartayati,svaguṇavyūha ca ḍhaukate | tena tadatra sāmagrī bhāvanatayā vyavasthitaṁ tadviruddhasya duḥkhāde ra vakāśamapākaroti | tadyathā - śītādiviruddhamuṣṇādikam upalabhyamānaṁ śītādyabhāvaṁ pratipādayati,yenaikatra sthāne parasparaṁ na viruddhamupalabhyate,evam anayorapi sukhaduḥkhayorna caikatra santānātmani kathamapi sambhavaḥ,tadviruddhatvāt tasya,tena sukhasaumanasyādi sātmīkaraṇe naiva duḥkhādīnāṁ kathamapi sambhāva nī yatāmāropayati iti yuktamuktam - svabhāvaviruddhopalabdhiḥ tadrūpābhāvaṁ pratipādayati | prakarṣaparyantagamane abhyāsaviśeṣo hetuḥ prajñāśilpakalādivat,tadviśeṣa viruddhopalabdheḥ,ityavaboddhavyam |
kiñca bhāvyamānānāmapi yadi viśeṣāṇāṁ tāvadapi nivṛttiriṣyate,tadā pṛthvīkṛtsnādikamapi bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantavartināṁ tathaiva nivṛttimāpādayed iti | na ceṣyate,yasmād ye prakarṣaparyantavartitayā svātmalābhabhāvāḥ na teṣāmāvartanam,yathā pṛthvī kṛtsnādayaḥ | labdhātmalābhāḥ sva viśeṣāśritāḥ sukhasaumanasyādayaḥ,tasmātte'pi na vyāvartante,vyāvṛttau kāraṇābhāvāt | ye tu doṣādayo vyāvṛttibhāginaḥ teṣāṁ ca tadānīṁ nāyaṁ bhāvaḥ | tadanu duḥkhodbhavo'pi na syāt,prakarṣaparyantagamane tanna sambhavati,anyathā mokṣānantaramapi saṁsāraḥ syād iti na ceṣyate prayujyateḥ vā | ye mokṣaṁ prāptasya saṁsārotpatti neṣyante eva te'pi tadānīṁ kāraṇābhāvādavidyāvāsanāyā vinivṛttāḥ | parārthena yā samutpattirna sā sāṁsārikī,pūrvapraṇidhānāve śasāmarthyena tatra pravṛtteḥ,na vāsanāsāmarthyāt | tena yathā mokṣānantaraṁ saṁsāraḥ na,tathā sukhaprakarṣaparyantagamanānantaraṁ duḥkhaṁ cittasyāpi na jāyate,prakṛtipariśuddhatvāt tadeva mecakamaṇisadṛśam | tataḥ yena yena vāsyate tatra tatra cābhyāsabalād viśiṣṭatarasvabhāvamāviṣkaroti aparāvṛttidharmatālakṣaṇam | ata evoktam -
yena yena hi bhāvena manaḥ saṁyujyate nṛṇām |
tena tanmayatāṁ yāti viśvarūpo maṇiryathā ||47||
tena sarvametad viśiṣṭapariṇāmanayā pariṇāmyamāne viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakaṁ bhavati iti | tena na kiñcit nāmyapariṇāmaṁ nāma | pūrvakarmāvedhasāmarthyācca tathaiva tadbhavatīti,anyathā viśiṣṭapariṇāmanā vyarthā,sarvatra ca aviśvasanīyā syāt | tathā coktaṁ jinajananyām -
'punaraparaṁ subhūte | bodhisattvo mahāsattvo divyānulepanāni dadāti tathāgateṣu tathāgatacaityeṣu vā | tasyaivaṁ bhavati,anena kuśalamūlena anuttarāṁ samyaksambodhimabhisambuddhe,tatra buddhakṣetreṣu sarvasattvānāṁ divyāḥ sparśaviśeṣāḥ abhiniṣpadyantām | iti pariṇāmanā bhavet | punaraparaṁ subhūte !bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyaivaṁ bhavati,manoratha - saṅkalpenaiva iṣṭān pañcakāmaguṇān buddhānāṁ bhagavatāṁ śrāvakasaṅghānāṁ sarvasattvānāṁ copanāmayeyam | tasyaivaṁ sañjānata evaṁ bhavati -anena kuśalamūlena mama buddhakṣetre anuttarāṁ samyaksambodhimabhisambuddhasya śrāvakasaṅghasya satvānāṁ ca manoratha - saṅkalpenaiva iṣṭāḥ kāmaguṇāḥ prādurbhavantu | punaraparaṁ subhūte | bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ sarvasattvaiḥ sārddha samyaksambuddhebhyo vā pañcakāmaguṇadānaṁ dadāti evamādi|
itaśca vāsanāvedhasāmarthyād evaṁ dṛṣṭakāryeṣu vartate | mātuluṅgādi phalaṁ loke yathā lākṣādisekād uktarūpam,tathā cāsya citasya bāhya-sparśādisevanāt tadeva sukhādikaṁ saṁskāraviśeṣaprativedhāhitaviśeṣatvāt punaḥ tatraiva abhimukhībhavati | tadanuraktatvāccittasya tadrañjitaṁ ca tatraiva dṛḍhībhavati | tadapi yathā dhattūrakarpāsa vīja dāḍimādīnāṁ kāraṇāntarairāhitaviśeṣaṁ tatra tathaiva phalaṁ pratīyate,āhitasāmarthyāt | evaṁ cittamapi sparśādinirjātasukhasaumanasyādiviśeṣaṁ taduttarottaraviśiṣṭaphalāvāhakaṁ bhavati | tatpratipakṣayānānabhiniviṣṭatvāt na pratipakṣodayaḥ tadvimukhatvāt sukhitvācca | tathā śrīparamādye pradarśitaṁ bhavati -
'sarvaduḥkhadaurmanasyādibhyo'vakāśo na deva | deyaḥ ||47||
punaścoktaṁ sarvadevasamāgamatantre -
surāsurāṇāṁ bhūtānāṁ pratibodhirna vidyate |
kīrtayan tena sarvāṅgamānandaṁ copabhuñjate ||48||
atastenāti gacchanti nirvāṇaṁ dīpā yathā |
nirvāṇāgnirmahāghoro bhasmānyapi na muñcati ||49||
na tatra tattvaṁ vidyate nendriyārthā na dhātavaḥ |
na manaścaittakaṁ nāpi nāhaṅkāro na dhīrapi ||50||
na ca sattvaṁ na ca prajñā na cittaṁ naiva kiñcit |
suṣuptāvasthitākāraṁ nirvikalpaṁ nirātmakam ||51||
na saṁjñā na ca ceṣṭā tu na rūpaṁ na guṇaḥ kvacit |
nirvāṇaṁ tatsamuddiṣṭaṁ mokṣaṁ tu niṣkalaṁ bhavet || 52||
jñātvā saṁsārabhāvasya niḥsvabhāvasvabhāvatām |
tadā prabuddho vijñeyo nirvāṇaṁ yadi necchati ||53||
jñātvā sadbhāvasārūpyaṁ niḥsvabhāvasvabhāvatām |
nirvāṇaṁ yaḥ prapadyeta vinā siddhiṁ na vīryavān ||54||
na kṛtanāśaścānyo jāyate hīnacetasaḥ |
yaḥ parāṁ bodhimāsādhya vinā siddheḥ prahīyate ||55||
kiṁ tena na kṛtaṁ pāpaṁ caureṇātmāpahāriṇā |
buddhātmanaḥ śarīrasya siddhiṁ saukhyairna pūrayet ||56||
na tasya vidyate vīryaṁ na ca sattvaṁ pratiṣṭhitam |
yaḥ parāṁ bodhimāsādya nirvāṇaṁ yātyasiddhitaḥ ||57||
nānyo hīnatarastasmāt nānyaḥ syād durjano janaḥ |
yaḥ parāṁ bodhimāsādya tyajate svaśarīrakam ||58||
tadvīryaṁ sarvavīryāṇāṁ yaḥ pravuddhvā pravartate |
sarvendriyopabhogeṣu rataḥ sannā pi badhyate ||59||
punaścoktaṁ vimuktisamudyātanatantre -
nāsti tattvavrataṁ puṁsāṁ mahāphala pradaṁ yataḥ |
kvaciccittādhimuktānāṁ vāsanā tyajyate katham ||60||
na tena śodhitaṁ cittaṁ yogatantravratasthitam |
kevalaṁ bhinnadṛṣṭitvāt prabuddho'pi vinaśyati ||61||
na kṛtaghnatastvanye ye prabodhiṁ gatā narāḥ |
dīpavad yānti nirvāṇaṁ na siddhimanubhuñjate ||62||
nānyaḥ sattvena rahitaḥ svaśarīrasya jāyate |
vipratyakṣakāmaśca nirvāṇaṁ yaḥ prapadyate ||63||
prabuddhakāraṇācceha nirvāṇaṁ ye narā gatāḥ |
sukhānantān parityajya siddhamiṣṭaṁ phalaṁ tadā ||64||
punaścoktam -
pāradaścāgnisaṁyogād yathābhāvaṁ prapadyate |
dahyate dṛśyate naiva gacchanno dhūma eva vā ||65||
gomayādhārayogena yathā saṁgṛhyate punaḥ |
jñānamevaṁ vijānīyāt mahāmudrā samaṁ tathā ||66||
prayogaśca- ye ye prāptaprakarṣaparyantāḥ na te vyāvartante | tadyathā mokṣādayaḥ | prakarṣaparyanta kāraṇasvarūpāḥ sukhasaumanasyādayaḥ,iti svabhāvahetuḥ | itaraśca - ye hi bhāvyante te bhāvanābhyāsasāmarthyāt samāhitaparamaprakarṣaparyantavartino bhavanti,yathā - prajñā-śilpa-kalādayaḥ | bhāvyante ca prajñopāyaparigṛhītāni sparśaviśeṣanirjātāni sukhasaumanasyāni,tasmāttānyapi paramaprakarṣavanti bhavanti | svabhāvahetureva | tadatrāpi prakarṣaparyantagamanamātrānubandhi sātmīkaraṇaṁ,taccābhyāsaviśeṣabalād apunarāvṛttidharmatāmasāvā sādayati | na punastadanyena kenacid api vyāvartate tatsvabhāvatāmupagataḥ | tadyathā- kāṣṭhādau agnidāhitā viśeṣā na tadvyāvartante,dāhādi lakṣaṇaṁ tasyāpunarbhāvadharmitvāt | ata evoktam -
na puna rdāhataḥ kiñcid vikārajananaṁ kvacit |
viparyayāt punaḥ kiñcid yathā kāṣṭhasuvarṇayoḥ ||67||
hemādau agnikṛta viśeṣaḥ tatsantānavyāvṛttau tadviparītakāraṇataḥ tatsvabhāvabhāvaṁ sampāditaḥ yathā agnijalādiḥ | akhilahuta suvarṇasya asyāpi anya eva kaṭhinasvabhāvādhyāsitaviśeṣaḥ sañjāyate svabhāvādhivāsitaviśeṣāntara utpadyate |tadatra cetasi viṣayopabhogasañjāto harṣātmaviśeṣaḥ | taduttarottaraṁ tasyaiva kāraṇasya saṁsevanena parāṁ niṣṭhām āsādyamānasya na vyāvṛttiḥ,buddhestatpakṣapātāt | yena buddhirhi tadanuraktā satī samāsāditaguṇā ca tadeva kāraṇam ādatte,tadviparīte ca vimukhyān na kathañcid vyāvartate | yathā ca -yatra yatra prakarṣaparyantagamanaṁ,tatra tatra sātmībhāvaḥ,tadyathā -śrotriya sya jātibhāvādau?bhāvanāvaśāt nairghṛṇyam | tadyathā - kasyacit śrotriyasya mahāvratadhāriṇo nairghṛṇyaṁ bhāvanāsātmīkaraṇāt tatsāmyamāsādayati tacca svasaṁvedyaṁ sukhasaumanasyādi sarvasantānavarti svasaṁvedanapratyakṣaṁ siddhaṁ,tadapi tatraiva bhāvanāyogasāmarthyād avicchinnapravāhaṁ vartate |
pravāhaviccheda kāraṇābhāvāt duḥkhādi pravāha vicchitikāraṇāni naṁ saṁvidyante | na hi duḥkhādīni hitarūpatayā'vagamya kenacit prekṣāvatā tyajyante,na ca punastadutpatikāraṇamanviṣyate,prekṣāvān kvacid anyathā prekṣāvān na syāt,tadanyo mattakādivat |
tena āstāṁ tāvat prakarṣaparyantagamanam,kintu kiñcinmātra sevanenāpi buddhi staddhitānubandhitvāt tadviparītakāraṇārthamiha kathamapi na sañjāyate | na hi kaścijjānanneva ahiviṣa kaṇṭakādīn upādatte | tena hi tatphalāvāhakameva tadabhyāsaviśeṣavalāt sātmībhāvamupāgatam | tāni ca heyarūpatayā buddhyā prāgeva nirastāni,tena tatsantati vicchedaḥ | tadīya svabhāvahetustatsvabhāvatāṁ sādhayati | na cāsiddho hetuḥ | bhāvanāviśeṣeṇāpi viśiṣṭatā labhyate prajñādīnāṁ tenābhyāsastāvad vidyate | nāsiddhatā nāpyanaikāntikatā,yena sukhasaumanasyādyabhyasyamānaṁ na tadvipakṣe duḥkhādauṁ pravartate | na viruddhaḥ,yasmānna sādhyaviparyayaṁ duḥkhaṁ sādhayati | dṛṣṭāntadharmiṇām api sarvavādiprasiddhatvāt | yena ime prajñāśilpakalādayaḥ pratipuruṣābhyāsatayā bheda viśeṣam āsādyamānāḥ saṁlakṣyate | yadapyuktam - rāgapratipakṣā aśubhāḥ,dveṣapratipakṣo maitrī,mohapratipakṣaḥ pratītyasamutpādaḥ | tatra rāgato virāga vinivṛttiḥ,tadviruddhatvāditi cet,na | yadi tathā dhruvamanya rāgasātmīkaraṇe'pi virāgaḥ syāt | ata evoktaṁ mūlatantre -
aho hi sarvabuddhānāṁ rāgajñānamanāvilam |
hattvā rāgaṁ virāgaṁ ca sarvasaukhyaṁ vadanti te ||68||
na ca rāgādīnāṁ prakṛtisāvadyatvam,anyathā na srotāpannasya mārgapratilambhaḥ syāt,tasya rāgādyaparihāreṇa pravṛtteḥ | kiñca evamuktaṁ bhagavatā śīlapaṭale - bodhisattvena daśakuśalānyapi parārthena khaṇḍayitavyāni | yathā-kācit kāmārthinī strī bodhisattvaṁ prati prāṇān tyajet,tasyāḥ kāmādisevanena prāṇasandhāraṇaṁ kāryam | tathaiva mahāpāpakāriṇaṁ dṛṣṭvā jīvitād vyuparopayati,na ca tasyāpāyagamanaṁ bhavet,bahutaraṁ puṇyaṁ prasavati| tad yadi ete rāgādayaḥ prakṛtisāvadyāstadā kathaṁ durgatihetavo na bhavanti ?prabhūtaratnapuṇyahetavaśca kathamuktāḥ ?tena na teṣāṁ prakṛtisāvadyatā,kintu pudgala santānaviśeṣād guṇaviśeṣāvāhakā bhavanti | yathā ketakīpuṣpaṁ gandhahastinopabhuktaṁ kastūrikādi bhāvena pariṇamate,itaraiśca hastibhirupabhujyamānaṁ asevyabhāvena pariṇāmayati | tena na tatra ketakīpuṣpadoṣaḥ | tathā rāgādayo'pi viśuddhasantānavartino viśiṣṭameva phalaṁ kurvanti,āśayaviśeṣayogāt | yathā kṣīraṁ sarpādibhirupabhujyamānaṁ viṣādibhāvena pariṇāmayati,anyaiśca manujaiḥ upabhujyamānam amṛtabhāvamāpadyate | evamete rāgādayo'pi āśaya viśeṣabhājini viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakā bhavantīti,na prakṛtiniravadyatvāt | hetu prayogaḥ - ye ye viśiṣṭasantānabhāginaḥ te te viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakāḥ,yathā ketakyādayaḥ,viśiṣṭasantānavartinaśca rāgādaya iti svabhāvahetuḥ | atrāpi viśiṣṭa-santāna-prayogapariṇāmamātrānubandhiviśiṣṭaphalāvāhakatvam apratibandhasāmarthya janayatyeva,antyakāraṇasāmagrīvat | yena hi tasya svabhāvaḥ,so'pi tanmātrānubandhajātaṁ karotyeva,pratibandhasya asambhavāt | pratibandhe sambhave cāpratyayaḥ syāt | tadatrāpi viśiṣṭapariṇāmān nānyadapekṣata iti tanmātrānubandha uktaḥ | na ca tatra kṣepābhāvasya pratibandhaḥ,kṣepābhāvāntasya kṣepābhāvānyasmin | prekṣaṇīyasya asambhavāt | evaṁ tanmātrānubandhiniścayāt svabhāvaheturuktaḥ | tathā rasāyaniko'pi bodhicittara sāvedhāt?tatsāmībhāvamupagataṁ bhāvasaṁviśiṣṭameva rūpāntaraṁ janayati tathā tāmrādiṣu sthirīkṛtapāradādi rasāvedhasāmarthyādanyadevāvasthāntaraṁ janayate | nirdoṣā punarāvṛttidharmakatāmupaitīti atrāpi vijñeyam | anyathā tāmrādiṣu na rasādīnāmāvartakatvaṁ syāt | evaṁ tat sāmarthyadarśanāt sphuṭataramevāvagamyate astitvam,anyathā na kiñcit sāmarthya syāt | tathā coktam -
aśucipratimāmimāṁ gṛhītvā jinaratnapratimāṁ karotyanarghām |
ramajātamatīva vedhanīyaṁ sudṛḍhaṁ gṛhṇata bodhicitta saṁjñam ||69||
punaśca
puṇyena sukhitaḥ kāyaḥ pāṇḍityena manaḥ sukhi |
tiṣṭhan parārtha saṁsāre dayāluḥ kena khidyate ||70||
kiñca,yayā rasāyanikaḥ dhanikaḥ puruṣaḥ kaścid viśiṣṭauṣadhisaṁyogāt samāsāditatadguṇamāhātmyaḥ,tasya pañcābhijñāḥ pravartante,tathā'nye ca guṇāḥ āsaṁsāraṁ sthiti kurvanti,evameva viśiṣṭaviṣayaparibhogasañjāta rasāyanasya āsaṁsāra-prakṛta-praṇidhividhānasya parārthaparasya samāhitasakala guṇagaṇasya pratividdhabodhicittarasasya kimiti sattvaṁ neṣyate?kiṁ ca -
na bodhi niḥkleśāṁ kṛtagati ravāpnoti paramāṁ
udīrṇakleśaśca svahitamapi karttṛ na labhate |
iti prāptyai bodheḥ sthiravihitavīryeṇa bhavatā
na nirdagdhāḥ kleśāḥ tṛṇalavaladhutvaṁ tu gamitāḥ ||71||
smṛtijñānagrastā vividhaguṇaniṣpattilaghavo
gatāḥ kleśā bodhirupakaraṇatāmeva bhavataḥ |
anenaivaṁ tvaddhīstadanu na kṛtā bhrāntaviṣayā guṇānāṁ kṣetratvaṁ jagati janidhārā api kṛtāḥ ||72||
kiñca,savikalpakameva tadbhāvanāprakarṣaparyantavarti sarvajñajñānam,āhosvit nirvikalpakamiti ?tatra yadi tāvannirvikalpakamevepyate,tadā bhāvanāvikalpasāmarthyānnirjātasya kathaṁ nirvikalpakatvam?na hi savikalpakād vijñānāt nirvikalpakasya jñānasya prasūtiḥ kathamapi sambhavati | atha kleśopakleśavāsanāvinivṛttaṁ nirvikalpakatvaṁ,tadayuktam,yataḥ kleśopakleśavāsanānivṛttau kimaparamasti yad vikalpakaṁ syāt,tadvyatiriktasya anyasya pramāṇābhāvāt | na cāpi prāmāṇikā kācit siddhirasti | tadbhāvānāṁ na pratyakṣatā,tasya indriyālokamanaskāraviṣayasāmarthyāt nirjātatvāt | na grāhakākāra vinirmuktaṁ jñānaṁ pratipādakamasti,tasya tadviparītarūpatvāt | nāpyanumānam,tasyāpi liṅgaliṅgisambandhagrahaṇapūrvakatvāt | grāhya- grāhakākāradvayavinirmuktajñānaṁ vinā bhāvi kāryākhyaṁ svabhāvākhyaṁ vā liṅgaṁ na upalabhyate | nāpyanupalabdhinibandhanāttasya pratipattiḥ syāt,tasyāḥ pratiṣedhaviṣayatvāt |
tatra kāryahetustāvadasiddhaḥ,kāryakāraṇabhāvasya hyanupapatteḥ,yato na vinaṣṭāt kāraṇāt kāryamupajāyate,tasya asattvena ajanakatvāt | nāpya vinaṣṭād,utpannasya vyāpāra- samāveśakālaparīkṣāyāṁ kṣaṇabhaṅgāprasaṅgāt | nirvyāpārasya khapuṣpasyeva kuto janakatvam?ata evoktam -
na naṣṭāccāpi nānaṣṭād bījādaṅkurasambhavaḥ |
māyotpādavadutpādaḥ sarva eva tvayocyate ||73||
yenotpādo nirodhādi sattvajīvādi deśitāḥ |
neyārthā sā tvayā nātha !bhāṣitā samvṛtistu sā ||74||
tenārthato janyajanakānupapatteḥ nā tra kāryahetuḥ,liṅgābhāvāt | svabhāvahetorapi parokṣatatsvabhāvatayā na kathañcidapi sambhavaḥ,tanmātrasambandhāsiddheḥ | anupalambhasyāpi pratiṣedhasādhakatvānnātra avasaraḥ | na cāparo heturiṣyate pramāṇāntaraśceti kuto nirvikalpakasya jñānasya niścayo vācyaḥ?tathoktam -
svasmānna jāyate bhāvaḥ parasmānnobhayādapi |
na sannāsanna sadasan kutaḥ kasyodayastadā ||75||
tena paramārthena tadvijñānamanupapannam,kathaṁ nirvikalpakaṁ syāt?na hi gaganāmbhoruhādīnāṁ savikalpakatvaṁ nirvikalpakatvaṁ vā iṣyate,nāpi tatreyaṁ cintā pravartate,puruṣārthānupayogitvāt ākāśapadyavat | tadabhyupagame ca na kiñcit prayojanamasti | tanniḥsvabhāvatvāt na kiñcit tatsādhyamupapadyate,na ca sādhyamakurvāṇaṁ sādhanaṁ tatra kīrtyate | tasmāt sarvameva jñānaṁ pratītyasamutpannaṁ grāhyagrāhakākārarūpatayā vartamānaṁ savikalpakamiti pratijānīmahe,yena grāhya-grāhakākāraṁ traidhātukaṁ vijñānaṁ pratyayakalpanamityākhyātam |
ata evoktaṁ laṅkāvatārasūtre -
āryo na paśyati bhrāntiṁ nāpi tattvaṁ tadantare |
bhrāntireva bhavettattvaṁ yasmāttattvaṁ tadantare ||76||
bhrānti vidhūya sarvāṁ hi nimittaṁ jāyate yadi |
saiva tasya bhaved bhrāntiraśuddhaṁ timiraṁ yathā ||77||
tatra kevalaṁ viparītapadārthasamāropavyāvṛttau viśiṣṭapadārthabhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamanād viśiṣṭaphalam āvirbhavati,sāntara-vyantara-svabhāvābhāvasvabhāvam ekasvabhāvaṁ sukhādi,bhāvanābhyāsaviśeṣāśritatvāt,tadākārasaṁvedanavat | tatsamānajātīyapravāha pravṛttaṁ grāhyagrāhakākārasaṁvidbhedena yuktaṁ adhyavasita svarūpamavicchinna santānaṁ dharmakaṁ svacitta-vaśitāprāptaṁ savikalpakamapi yathāvasthitasakalapadārthaparicchedakam,prajñopāyaparigṛhītamūrtitvāt | ata evoktaṁ laṅgāvatārasūtre -
na me yānaṁ mahāyānaṁ na ghoṣo na ca akṣarāḥ |
na ca dhyānaṁ vimokṣo vai na nirābhāsagocaram ||78||
kintu yānaṁ mahāyānaṁ samādhivaśavartinām ||
kāyo manomayo divya-vaśitāpuṣpamaṇḍitaḥ ||79||
tadevaṁ kāraṇaviśeṣāt kāryaviśeṣapratipādanena sarva mākhyātam | kiñca nāmajātyādikalpanaṁ samāropitam | arthānvayavyatirekānukāri savikalpakam api jñānaṁ aspaṣṭābham uktam ācārya - dharmakīrtipādairapi laukikapramāṇa parīkṣāyām | yatra grāhyagrāhakapratibhāso bhedena saṁjñāyate,tatrāspaṣṭābhameva jñānaṁ spaṣṭābhatayā bhāti | tadyathā-nāmajātyādikalpanā rahitaṁ jñānaṁ spaṣṭābhaṁ bhavati,grāhyagrāhakasaṁvitti bhedena bhidyate,tena nāmajātyādikalpanāmāśritya ācāryeṇā pyaspaṣṭābhatā darśitā,na grāhyagrāhakasaṁvittibhedāśrayeṇeti,tena viṣayākārānubhavasañjātaviśeṣasya tadvijātīyādhyavasāyābhāvaḥ | tatsātmībhāvamupagatāyāḥ na spaṣṭābhatāyā vādhakamasti,sādhakaṁ ca vidyate | tatsātmībhāvasamāpattilakṣaṇaṁ kāmaśokabhayonmādādi vad coktaṁ prāk |
atha grāhya-grāhaka-saṁvityākāratayā ābhāsa mānasya jñānasya prakarṣaparyantagamane sarvavityarthamiṣyate,tannāsti,kalpanājālasiddhatvāt | tatra tasyāpyaśeṣākāraśūnyasya saṁvinmātrasya kathamaśeṣajñeyaparicchedakatvam?na hi nirābhāsasya jñānasya kathamapi paricchedakatvaṁ vidyate,yukti-vyāhataṁ caitat |
ekasyānaṁśarūpasya trairūpyānupapattitaḥ |
vedyavedanabhedena svasaṁvitphalamiṣyate ||80||
atha svabhāva eva tasyāyaṁ yat tatprakarṣaparyantagamane sarvasaṁvittau sa svabhāvo'smatpakṣe'pi samānaḥ | tathā hi grāhyagrāhakasaṁvittibhedenabhidyamānasyāpi prakarṣaparyantagamane tadeva viśiṣṭarūpaṁ jāyate | yannikhilameva vastujātaṁ yathāvasthitamevāvabudhyate,tasya tatsāmarthya kiṁ kākena bhakṣitam kiñca,sakala kalpanā-kalāpaśūnyaṁ-tadastīti kimapi sthānam anuṣṭheyam | savikalpakaṁ tu jñānaṁ sarvasattvāntaḥsantānavartitayā pratyakṣādipramāṇasiddham,bhāvanāvalācca sātmībhāvasamāpattau sarvamevāvabudhyate | tadyathā,hi-yad yad,evāti bhāvyate tattadeva bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamane tatsātmatāmāpādayati-tadyathā śrotriyajātibhāvādau ghṛṇām | bhāvyate ca sarvameva trailokyaṁ tadupabhogatayā iti svabhāvahetuḥ | ata evoktaṁ saṁvaratantre |
sarvayogā hi bhagavān vajrasattvastathāgataḥ |
tasyopabhogyaṁ vai sarva traidhātukamaśeṣataḥ ||81||
punaḥ sarvadevasamāgamatantre coktam -
caturvidhaṁ ca yadbhūtaṁ yatkiñcijjagatīgatam |
sarvopakaraṇaṁ proktaṁ yogināṁ siddha cetasām ||82||
mahāmudrāṁ samādhāya mahāsattva mudāharan |
padaśaḥ sarvamevāhaṁ bhāvayet tattvayogataḥ | 83||
ityevamādi - bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamanamātrāśubandhi-tatsātmībhāvaḥ yatra yatra bhavati,tatra tatra sātmībhāvamāpādayati | bhāvyante sarvadā tattrailokyāntaravarttinaḥ padārthāḥ sukhasaumanasyādisādhanatvena sthitāḥ | ata evoktaṁ saṁvaratantre -
yadyadindriyamārgatvaṁ yātaṁtattatsvabhāvataḥ |
asamāhitayogena sarva buddhamayaṁ bhavet ||84||
punaścoktaṁ sarvakalpasamuccayatantre-
pañcabuddhāḥ samāsena pañcakāmaguṇāḥ smṛtāḥ ||85||
punaścoktaṁ śrī guhayasamājatantro-
rūpaśabdādibhirbhāvaiḥ devatānāṁ prakalpayet ||86||
tasmātte'pi tadbhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamane tatsātmatāmupayānti,tarhi te ca gocaratāṁ pratipadyante | tena savikalpakamapi jñānaṁ bhāvanāsāmarthyanirjātaṁ svabhāvaviśeṣabhājinam aśeṣaguṇālayam -
sarvasiddhiphalaṁ taddhi sarvalokādikārakam |
āsaṁsārasthiterhetuḥ sarvasattvārthakārakam ||88||
jñātavyaṁ tatprayatnena ucchedyo'haṁ prayatnataḥ |
jñāte tasmin bhavet sarvaṁ vijñātaṁ tattvasaṁjñitam ||89||
||iti śrītattvasiddhināma -prakaraṇaṁ prāvṛtatantraṁ samāptam || payet ||86||
tasmātte'pi tadbhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamane tatsātmatāmupayānti,tarhi te ca gocaratāṁ pratipadyante | tena savikalpakama
